I wanted to write a little blurb on just how being a Beachbody online coach has improved the quality of my life. One of the biggest things that have made a difference in my life is without a doubt the fact that being a online coach has helped me stay on track with my fitness goals. I’m not saying I’m perfect by any means but it really has made a difference. I have an off day here and there, heck I’m human but for the most part I can stick to eating clean and being faithful to getting my workouts in. I’ve been there, the days when I’d try to get myself to the gym a few days a week and try to watch my diet but you know what as soon as the weekend neared the beers came out after work and the pizza was waiting for me when I got home from work! My fitness regimen took a quick left turn and I gave in to the temptations! I can honestly say now that being a coach those temptations are so much more easy to deal with I’ve got so much to look forward to than to ruin it with the everyday temptations.  It means so much more when your involved in working with other people and helping them through the tough times and temptations to ultimately reach their goals. You want to lead by example, by using the various Beachbody workout programs you show (prove) to them that these fitness programs do actually work and how it can change you and make you a stronger person forever! If of course you give yourself the chance, I’m sure glad I did.

Day 1

WOW, Did my Insanity fit test!! it consists of 8 moves, each move is pretty challenging as you can imagine. Each move is one minute long and you do as many reps as you can in that one minute.

The program is 60 days long so you take the test every 15 days to track how much your strength and cardio increases over this period of time.

Here are my results:

1. Switch kicks – 60

2. Power Jacks – 59

3. Power Knees – 76

4. – Power Jumps – 40

5. Globe Jumps – 13

6. Suicide Jumps – 18

7. Push-up Jacks – 27

8. Low Plank Oblique – 44

So I will have to see in (15) days if I can improve on my numbers. As long as I can stay healthy I have no doubt that my numbers should increase because this program really works you! I just hope my aging body can hang in there:) we’ll see.

DAY 2 – Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Yeah!! I made it, I did take it a bit easy at the beginning of the workout though just so I wouldn’t burn out at the end. I really wanted to make it through this workout, after all the comments I’ve been hearing about how difficult this workout is I thought that this strategy would be best.

Some real cool moves, Shaun T. is a MACHINE! I thought Tony Horton was tough, Shaun is right behind him in a close second. Thankfully around the halfway mark of the workout you go into a stretch period so you have a chance to slow your breathing down a bit and prepare yourself for the second half which is even tougher due to the fatigue setting in.

The workout has a timer at the bottom of the screen which is similar to P90X which is nice to see how much torture if left :)

Day 3 – Cardio Power & Resistance

This workout featured  some new faces that are working out right behind Shaun T (Their all ripped and in incredible shape!). The workout are done in a school gym which is kind of a cool idea, some of the moves are the same from day 1 but Shaun throws in some new moves that will challenge you.  There’s a few moves that he does that really target your triceps which feel a bit awkward at first but you can really feel it target the muscle. There are no weights in these routines just body weight, so if you really like the weights you may be a little dissapointed with that but let me tell you I feel like I lifted after these workouts! I’m sore in may different places which is great! things are happening in my body. Bring on day 3!!

Well I have finally made the decision to try out Beachbody’s latest and probably the craziest workout program they have put out yet! After finishing my first round of P90X  and taking a bit of time of to get a little “rest” and to allow myself some time to devote myself to my Beachbody coaching bussiness I feel it’s time for me to get re-foucused and get into another program. Even after all the horror stories I have been hearing about how tough this program is I am actually looking forward to it. Of course I say all this wothout yet  having done one workout yet but like Tony says I will just do my best and forget the rest! I really love that quote, it really is so true in so many ways.

The program comes in a real nice case it looks just like a book! that contains all of the workouts, (10) in all they are:

1. Dig deeper and fit test

2. Plyometrics Cardio circuit

3. Cardio power & Resistance

4. Cardio Recovery & Max Recovery

5. Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs

6. Cardio Abs

7. Core Cardio & Balance

8. Max Interval Circuit

9. Max Interval Plyo

10. Max Cardio Conditioning & Cardio Abs

You also get Insanity elite nutriton guide and a 60 workut calendar.

So soon I will let you know how my “fit test” (the first workout in insanity) goes  and what I thought of it and everything about this program as I work my way through it.

That’s it for now, till next time take care of yourself…..
