Hi everyone,

I am very excited to inform you on my new vinfit90 2010 BeachBody transformation contest.

Starting January 1st, 2010 thru January 15th, 2010 you can enter into the contest for free. This is the perfect time for you to get into the right mindset and take the action  to do something for yourself and take care of your body heading into the new year and beyond!

There are just a few simple rules to this transformation contest.

1) Anyone can enter this contest – male, female, young, old, experienced fitness enthusiast or not.  We will all help motivate each other to make the changes to our bodies that we would like to make.

2) The contest will run for 90 days.

3) You can use the Beachbody fitness program of your choice.

4) Send me an email: vinfit90@beachbodycoach.com to let me know that you are in the contest.

5) You then must send me a photo of yourself from the front, side and rear along with your starting weight.

6) I will be awarding a prize to the male and female that have the best body transformation. I will be getting help from a few of my closest coaches in helping me pick the winners.

I will be using Beachbody’s message boards to run this transformation contest. You can get your free Beachbody account easily by clicking on the ”play the game” button on the right of this page or you can choose to sign up for Beachbody’s club membership (which is what I have) by clicking on the “join the club” button on the right side of this page. The club membership is very affordable and which gives you full access to all of  Beachbody’s resources to help educate and keep you motivated to reach your goals.

That’s it!! So jump on board with us, meet some new people and get fit!

I’m really looking forward to a great 2010 and would love to have you join me.

Take care of yourself,

Kevin Pavilonis

P90X Reviews Part 3 – Plyometrics

Ah yes P90X’s Plyometrics, this one works you for sure! This workout is approximately one hour in length as well with a warm-up which feels more like its part of the workout. Depending on your fitness level, at first this workout may be difficult to finish maybe some will say nearly impossible but no worries by the time you finish the program you just may enjoy doing this routine. I know I have.

Plyometrics which Tony refers to as jump training and yes there is ALOT of jumping around. He also refers to this workout as the “mother” of all the workouts (that says it all). Like all the other P90X workouts the people working out alongside Tony show you the different levels to which you can do the exercises which is great because it allows you the chance to do the workout at a lower intensity if you wish until a time where you feel more comfortable with going at it full guns.

With this workout you will do (4) exercises then you will repeat them again before doing the next set of (4) different exercises then again repeat and so on.

Here’s a breakdown/order of all the crazy movements you will do in this workout.

1) Jump squat
2) Run-stance squat
3) Airborne Heisman
4) Swing kicks

Repeat exercises 1 thru 4

Then you will do:
5) Squat reach jump
6) Run stance squat switch pick-up
7) Double airborne Heisman
8) Circle run

Repeat exercises 5 thru 8

Then you will do:
9) Jump knee tuck
10) Mary Katherine lunges
11) Leapfrog squats
12) Twist combo

Repeat exercises 9 thru 12

Then you will do:
13) Rock star hop
14) Gap jump
15) Squat jack
16) Military march

Repeat exercises 13 thru 16

Then you will do:
17) Run squat 180 jump switch
18) Lateral leapfrog squat
19) Monster truck tires
20) Hot foot

Repeat exercises 13 thru 16

Then you will do:
Yes believe it or not there’s actually a bonus round! (Yes Tony is crazy!) It’s geared around sports movements.

21) Pitch & catch
22) Jump shot
And finally! #23 football hero.

That’s all of them; I’m exhausted just from writing all that, but I have to say if you stick with it and give it your all each time your cardio will increase tremendously.

Then you go into your cool down as the sweat continues to pour down your face. This is one of those workouts that I REALLY look forward to having my recovery drink afterwards! I know what you’re thinking, this sounds like a lot (maybe even crazy?) for most people but over time I assure you this one workout really grows on you.

Be sure to read my next P90X review article in this series.

Till next time…stay motivated & take care of yourself.
