In today’s blog I want to share with you just how you can decrease running times with the help from Beachbody Insanity program.
As a Beachbody coach, just a couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of having a table at a local road race representing all of the wonderful items that Beachbody has to offer. It was a cold, windy and rainy day but that didn’t stop the 150 + runners that showed up that day to do what they love. 
The one thing that really stood out to me that day was how dedicated these people are to what they are doing which was just great to see. I wrote about this topic in a previous blog Weight Loss- How to lose it and keep it off, mindset is SO crucial no matter what your passion is. Whether it’s pumping iron at the gym, biking, running – whatever, if you’re not passionate about what your doing then chances are you won’t be doing it for very long. Bottom line is, find something you like doing and you feel passionate about and that will equate to results! Another thing – don’t be afraid to try something new you never know what you may discover. Such as the gentleman that I spoke to that day discovered. He decided to give something new a try and he had amazing results from it as you’ll read about in his story below.
Oops I got a little of track with where I was going with my story:) back to my day at the race! I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of great people that day, one person in particular that I met was very friendly and had a great personal story he wanted to share with me. It had to do with his introduction to Beachbody, the Insanity program to be exact and how doing the program he was able to decrease his running times immensely. Well I won’t go over his story in full I’ll let you read it for yourself. I think you will find it as inspirational as I did. I was glad that he gave me permission to use it as I truly believe that it can help inspire many other people out there that feel like they are in the same shoes (no pun intended).

Hello Kevin,
I wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting you at the Raynham 5 Miler a couple weeks ago. At the time, I had mentioned that I had just finished the Insanity Workout program. I thought I would write a few lines to let you how happy I have been with the improvement the program has been to me with my road racing.
I am 54 years old and have been running routinely now for the last 10 years. I run about 25 to 30 races a year. In between the races, I generally run two to three times a week. Through the fall of last year, I was running two to three miles every morning in effort to improve my times. But I seemed to have hit a wall with times not getting any better.
A couple weeks before Christmas I saw the Insanity Infomercial on TV and ordered the program. I figured that all the running I was doing was only working the same muscles and that I needed something else. The workouts were hard but I could feel myself getting more fit with each week completed. I did the diet and lost about fifteen pounds over the course of the program.
As a result my 5K times are about 2 minutes faster the my times from last year. This month I also ran two five mile races each setting a personal record times for each event. Both of those races I beat last year’s times by 6 minutes. The reason I have been able to improve my times is that I have been able to maintain my pace throughout the race. I always had a very good first mile but my times would drop off at the splits. Now I am able to maintain the pace throughout the race.
I would recommend Insanity to anyone who really wants to improve their fitness and times.
