Rev abs Archives

Well, here are my final thoughts on this program.

RevABS creator Brett Hoebel designed this program to help with the #1 area will ALL strive for – the ABS!

Perfect, count me in - here’s my story.

Just recently I completed my round of RevABS, what’s RevABS did you say? RevABS is a fitness program put out by Beachbody just last fall.

Brett Hoebel (well known fitness trainer also referred to as “the dues collector”) incorporates a variety of cardio intervals, strength training, ab core moves along with proper nutrition to help burn the fat off so you can finally reveal those ever so elusive six pack abs. Brett does this through a proven traing technique he calls “abcentrics”.

Though I certainly can’t sit here and rant and rave about my final numbers  and say I now have got that six pack I’ve been seeking for some time now (years I guess). Nevertheless I am still happy with my progress due to the fact that my eating clean through the second round of this program was just not there due to other stresses in my life during that time. No no I’m not making excuses for myself – that’s the truth, so I could not possibly expect the world from this program or any other program for that matter not doing what I knew I should be doing.

Nutrition during your intense training is just as important if not more important than your workouts!! Period, nuff said.

But I have to guess that what I went through while doing this program is probably no different than what many of you have probably gone through and probably still continue with! We all have different issues in our life that can rear it’s ugly head from time to time and get in the way of our progress BUT it’s so important to just keep going no matter what!! It may seem like your wasting your time at that moment only putting in maybe 50 – 60% of your full commitment either to the workouts or eating clean but looking back it it would have been easier to just give up and quit (because that’s what the little guy in your head was telling you to do – right?) but where would I have been?? Eating worse, not working out, putting on the weight? Would that have been better than just pushing play doing your best and getting some small POSITIVE results at the end? NOT!! I’m so glad I hung in there through it all and came out on top, now I’m fired up to start my second round of P90X!

Here are my final numbers for the program.

Start of RevABS               After 45 Days             After 90 Days

Fat %               = 12.4               11.5                             10.0     -2.4%

Water               = 61.8               62.6                             64.1     +2.3%

Muscle Mass     = 69.4               68.7                            72.0     +2.6 Pounds

Weight             = 164.6            160.2                          162.2    - 2.4 pounds

Bottom line – This is a great program in which I thought had just a couple flaws. For anyone that’s not quite ready to take the jump into say Insanity or P90X this would be a great program for you to help build your fitness base. Don’t get me wrong this program isn’t exactly easy by any means, just watch my workout review videos.  I will certainly go back to this program in time because for the most part I really enjoyed most of the workouts Brett has put together and you WILL get results. How much results? Well that’s up to you to give it the most you can if you do that you won’t be dissapointed

So for ALL of you out there even if things aren’t going perfect for you at the moment or to your original expectations that’s no reason to give up and quit – where would that put you? Further ahead in your journey? Just remember it’s the little positive results that keep you on track to big gains and your ultimate goal:)

Check this out!

Fitness guru Brett Hoebel creator of the RevABS program put out by Beachbody was recently featured on the Good Morning America show that I would like to share with you.

Brett sums up nicely why this program is so effective and gives you the three most important keys to burning that stubborn layer of fat from around your mid section to see those abs that we all desire to have show. This is an absolute must see:)

Brett also runs through a couple of exercises from his RevABS program to give you a little taste as to what this program is like. Brett seems like a very down to earth guy who knows what the hell he’s doing and talking about and has the ripped body to back it up.

Well take a look for yourself; I think once you watch it you’ll be hooked!

Having just completed my RevABS program, if you would like more information regarding what each workout in this program is like then please go to the top of this page and click on the RevABS reviews tab. This is where you can find most of the workouts in this great program that I have made while doing this program to help give you a detailed look to see if this program is right for you.

Hope you enjoy them and if you think your ready to make that change to a new you just click on the shop for products button on the right side of this page to get started today.

I will be adding a post very soon to discuss my RevABS journey and to give you my honest opinion on what I thought as well as if I would do the program again and was it worth the money I paid? Stay tuned….

Till next time.

Take care,

Hey everyone,

Just want to update you with where I’m at with Beachbody’s RevABS program; I have just reached the halfway mark!

For those of you that are not familiar with this program it is broken up into two phases, each phase lasting 45 days for a total of 90 days for the program. Up until this point I have really enjoyed the workouts as a whole. The length of the workouts are a bit shorter than the workouts in say P90X or Insanity but don’t let the length of the workouts fool you. If you give these workouts your 100% effort you’ll be dripping with sweat at the end of each workout!! These workouts are no joke.

 Having completed a round of P90X last year, in comparison I have not seen the crazy numbers that I had while doing the p90x program but I truly wasn’t really expecting those kind of numbers anyways. You just can’t compare the two programs, each one has its own unique workouts styles and result expectations.

My diet has been ok for the first 45 days, had a couple days where I seemed to have little self control of what I was eating for a few meals. Other than that I feel I’ve been pretty consistant with my eating, I am basically following a few of the guidelines from the p90x program and I have incorporated them into this program. I really like the way the food plan is setup in P90X as compared to RevABS.

Here are my numbers so far, like I said nothing that will blow you away but I do feel I’ve made some progress since I started this program. I really do enjoy the workouts, Brett (”the dues collector”) really makes them fun.

Start of RevABS             After 45 Days

Fat %               = 12.4              11.5

Water              = 61.8              62.6

Muscle Mass = 69.4              68.7

Weight             = 164.6           160.2

I’ll have to post some pics of my progress along the way.

Bottom line – I think after I complete the RevABS program I will go back to P90X for another round. That program in my opinion is that good! But like anything else variety is the key to keeping it fresh and exciting that’s why programs like revabs is so good, it’s different it’s puts a different spin on things help keeping it fresh. Once it becomes a bore chances are you won’t be doing it for very long, so don’t be afraid to mix it up and have fun!

Till next time… remember it’s the little things you do everyday that gets you the results over time!

Hi everyone,

Well I’m now 4 1/2 weeks into my RevABS workout program and still going strong. I am noticing that my cardio has increased and I now have some slight definition in the abs area. I intend on jumping on the scale here shortly to see where the numbers are at. I’m really not too concerned with my actual body weight at all but I’m certainly more interested in my body fat, water and muscle mass. Those  three things are huge to know while you are knee deep in your workout program, it allows you to tweak your eating a bit based on the scale’s feedback (and we all hope that it is kind to us) to get your numbers to move in the right direction.

I have now uploaded a new RevABS workout routine video review - Power Intervals. You can check it out by clicking on the RevABS review tab. This workout I have to say is becoming one of my favorites, I think due to the combination of moves that Brett does along with the  the length of the workout. This one really moves along quickly and is over before you know it, and sometimes that is a great thing especially if you like getting in your workouts early in the morning before work as I do.

Also don’t be fooled by the length of this RevABS workout, this one works ya! I’m dripping with sweat after this workout – and it feels great:)

So if you’ve been thinking about trying RevABS, these videos will give you a nice sneak peek at it to see if it interests you. If you like what you see just click on the shop for products button on the right side of this screen to get yourself started, you won’t be disappointed. Ordering the program through my site assures that I will be assigned as your coach (for free) which I would love the opportunity to work with you in helping you reach your goals!

One more thing that I would like to touch on before I head off into the night. This past Sunday I took myself to my local gym. No special reason, it was my day off from RevABS and I just wanted to mix things up a bit. As much as I love my Beachbody workouts it’s always nice to throw in something different into your workout routine every once in a while. Because you know what? That is what is going to get you your results, mix  it up a bit and have fun with it. And let me tell you I was pretty dam sore for a few days afterwards, so that’s always a good sign.  Doesn’t matter what you like doing whether it’s biking, weightlifting, karate, it’s all good although I am a big  fan of the type of exercise that puts a little muscle on ESPECIALLY when your trying to lose weight and/or strip the fat off your body. Muscle burns FAT!! You don’t have to look like Arnold to get this to happen for you either. This will be the topic in my March newsletter – hope to see you there, this is one article you won’t want to miss!

Well that’s it for now.

Till next time….take care of yourself.

Well, I have just completed two weeks of Beachbody’s RevABS program. I have to honetly say that I like this program so far though I don’t have any earth shattering numbers to share with you just yet, but when that happens you’ll be the first to know about it!:) I do feel a bit tighter in my core and I am already stronger, I’m already doing more reps than when I first started and I am going to increase the weight when I start my week 3 as well.

The videos are generally pretty short in length as compared to Insanity or P90X, RevABS workouts are generally about 30 to 40min. each (except mercy abs) depending on the workout. I don’t care for the backround music though, once I feel comfortable doing the exercises I’ll pop on my ipod and workout to some tunes instead.

If you’d like a rundown on the program and what you get with it you can check out my new program review video on my RevABS Reviews page and feel free to email me any time at vinfit90@beachbodycoach.com with any questions you may have.

Also I would like to share with you my Total Strength Workout review video that I have just posted. If you have been thinking about trying this program this video will give you a real good idea as to the exercises that you would be doing. You can view this video as well on my RevABS Reviews page.

So stay tuned for more RevABS workout videos to be posted in the near future, I will be making a video for each of the workouts.

Till next time…take care of yourself.
